RE: World Series Umpires

I don't follow baseball all that closely but I thought they had finally decided to have replay's. If that had used that, Rollins would of been out. I don't know how that ump missed that call - he was standing right there watching the glove go up Rollins crease in his backside !

RE: A great week at the beach ended as a wash out.

Spring 2007, we were at the next row over from your spot at the end and got flooded out too. Apparently from talking with some of the employees there at MBTP, getting flooded out at the end of the rows is not all that uncommon.

RE: Update 29 Days after "We were robbed"

I'd say tell the insurance company about this and tell them either you want your trailer or want the settlement money. Let the insurance company deal with this extortionist.

RE: The hunt is on, where to look....

To me that's a lot of money for a truck with that kind of mileage and wear and tear. I'd keep looking. Even if they knocked of 5 grand, it sounds like that truck has been abused.

RE: Car Sales

I just googled this dealership and from what I read, it appears from his questionable business practices, he could of sold shady mortgages as well. Sounds like he got what he deserved. Of course I'm sure he left with big money in his wallet. Probably not so much money for the 2700 he put out of work.

RE: our ebay story

I wonder if this sale was actually a consignment sale as you say that the now defunct delearship took it in. I wonder if the original owner still has the title and of course refuses to give it up as he has probably not been paid either. Just a thought...

RE: Gas Avilablility in GA

I saw on the news that the issue with Georgia is that the Governor waited too long before asking the EPA for a waiver on the gas formulation that is required in Georgia. So while other surronding states didn't dither around, they got the waiver several days earlier and was able to get the gasoline formula that the refiners were shipping through the pipeline.

RE: RV Show -Atlanta (eye opener)

We went to the Syracuse NY RV show yesterday. Have been going for many years. One needs to get there early on a Saturday as by the time noon rolls around the place is packed. Yesterday, the place was like a morgue. We were there until 2:30 and I bet there wasn't 300 people there. RV trailer prices were the lowest I've ever seen too. If one was looking to buy, I'd bet if they went back late today(Sunday) they could get one heck of a deal.

RE: Need new tires for the TV

My Revo's are worn out with 25,000 on them. We tow a 7500lb fifth wheel. Great traction, quiet but crappy wear. I'm looking for something else(and Firestones are NOT on the list).

RE: Toyota Air Filters

Does anyone know if cabin air filters for Toyota Highlander's can be purchased anywhere other than the dealer, i.e., auto parts stores, W-Mart, etc. Trying to locate a cheaper place. Yes.

RE: Concerned about fuel

Government controlling oil industry? Don't think I will live that long. I am comparing FlyingJ site with prices. They actually dropped during the day today. Right now regular and diesel have the same price in most locations. YUPEEE. I don't know abou that. If your alive after November 5th, you just might see it.

RE: Cracks in Front Cap

I wonder why one couldn't insert some low expanding foam from the forward bedroom wall side of the fiver. When that hardend, the foam I would think would provide excellent support in the space beween the wall and the cap.

RE: Forest River Stolen 5er

I would guess when the OP mentioned that she contacted Trailer Life action line and they blew her off. (forest river being an advertiser in the magazine most likely had a little to do with I woudl guess)

RE: UPDATE! Sandpiper 315BHT Flexing

Well,it seems that yet another person has had this problem.Only their trailer was stolen from the repair facilities in Goshen. The post is on here in the General RVing section.(out the car window) is the username. Of which the topic is now closed..... Let's hope FR fixed the hole in their fence or your fiver may be the next one missing from their parking lot. And as we've seen in the other post, if it gets stolen, tough luck for you. At the very least, make sure you've got exceptional insurance on the rig before they take it out there.

RE: Insurance claim......Long post

With the extensive repairs talked about, you may want to consider taking your rig back to the manufacturer. Your insurance company may even pay your expenses to get it there.

RE: Don't want too - but I might HAVE too........

It's never an easy decision to make. My only suggestion would be head somewhere other than north. I've never understood why everyone wants to go north :h (I'm sure someone here will enlighten me, though) Best wishes to you whether you stay or go. When you live in Florida, going north is quite literally the only way one CAN go.

RE: Strawberry Park in CT - STAY AWAY!!

We stayed there a few years ago and never again - never ! It was one of the most crowded over run places we've ever camped at. We were next to a group of at least 25 with an RV and 10 or more tents all pitched all over the place. The bathrooms were a rat hole and were not cleaned once during the 3 days we were there. Anyone that lays claim to this place being habitable, has not been to nice campground, thus has nothing to compare it to.

RE: Swimming pools

We have an inground. Vinyl liner covering steel walls and sand bottom. Have had more than our fair share of problems with the liner(replaced 3 in 16 years). If you go the ingroud route, I would get either a gunite or fiberglass one piece "drop in". If we were to do it again, I would get an above ground. They are just as nice and last a long time and cost way less. If it were my decision alone, I'd have the thing filled in. Our season is too short here in upstate NY, and by early August, everyone is tired of swimming. If you live in a temperate climate then maybe they are worth it but not here.

RE: How long can we park it and do nothing?

You should remove all of that 3 year old air and replace it with new fresh air.
